The Bigger Vision of Athens Community Shelter

Regardless of how someone has come to experience homelessness, Bigger Vision is here to help them meet their basic needs and get back on the path to sustainable housing. Our guests arrive at our door from all walks of life. Some have lost their job and need temporary relief while they get back on their feet. Others struggle with mental illness, physical disabilities, or substance abuse disorder, and need help accessing supportive services in order to bring stability to their lives. Some of our guests have housing but have had to flee domestic violence or other dangerous housing situations. Many of our guests are employed either part or full-time, yet still struggle to obtain and hold on to affordable housing. Every person that comes through our doors has their own story and struggles, and we are committed to helping them find short-term and long-term relief as they navigate the path toward sustainable housing.
