How to Donate
Donating Money and Sponsorships
Donating funds is one of the most important ways to support those we serve. We rely on donations to provide materials and other services that cannot come from physical item donations. Historically, we rely on private donations from our community to keep our programs operational. Your donations keep our building safe and comfortable for our guests.
Many of our supporters choose to become one of our Bed Sponsors, which helps provide stable funding and allows us to plan more efficiently for the future. This form of sponsorship helps cover all of the costs associated with one or more beds for a specified length of time. Bed Sponsors can either donate monthly or send a lump sum to fund a bed for a set number of nights per year. We show our appreciation for our Bed Sponsors by offering them custom magnets to put on our beds, social media publicity, supporter badges on our website, and special recognition at our events. All donations to Bigger Vision of Athens are tax deductible. All donors will receive a yearly tax receipt letter. Please contact us if you need your receipt sooner.

All items, monetary donations, and sponsorships given by individuals, organizations, and businesses to Bigger Vision of Athens are tax deductible. We will provide you with a tax receipt at the time of your donation and at the end of the year.
Donating Items
Item donations from our community are essential to ensuring our guests and other people experiencing homelessness in Athens have their basic needs met. Every day from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM, we distribute snacks, water, hygiene supplies, and other necessities to people who come to our door. We also provide these items to our guests who stay with us through our Overnight Shelter Program or Abundant Life Program. These services would be impossible to provide without the massive amount of donations we receive from our community. Whether you have just a few items or a truckload of supplies to drop off, we appreciate your generosity!
Please drop off any donations at our shelter located at 95 North Avenue, Athens, Georgia. If you know the value of your donation, we will be happy to write you a tax receipt!
