Ways to help Bigger Vision
Bigger Vision relies on the support of our community through the donation of resources and time. It is with your help that we are able to support our neighbors here in Athens!
Monetary Donations
Donating funds is one of the most important ways to support our mission. We rely on donations to provide materials, services, and salaries that cannot come from physical item donations. Historically, we have not received government funding, so private donations from our community have been our lifeline. Your donations keep our building safe and comfortable.

Resource Donations
Item donations from our community are essential to ensuring our guests and other people experiencing homelessness in Athens have their basic needs met. Every day from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM, we distribute snacks, water, hygiene supplies, and other necessities to people who come to our door. We also provide these items to our guests who stay with us through our Emergency Shelter Program or Community Impact Program.

Meal Volunteers
Meal providers cook or buy a meal to feed 40 people, deliver it to the shelter between 5:00 and 5:30 PM, and help serve the meal. Our Meal Providers are some of our most critical supporters, and our guests are extremely grateful to have a hot dinner at night. This volunteer opportunity is also a great time to directly serve and build relationships with our guests, letting them know that there are people in the Athens community who care about them.
Evening Volunteers
Our Evening Volunteers help us keep our shelter operations running smoothly at night. Evening Volunteers arrive at 5:30 PM and leave at 9:30 PM. During their shift, Evening Volunteers help staff members serve and clean up dinner, manage the bin room where guests' belongings are stored, and help with any other minor tasks.
